Counseling

Hi, I’m Ms. O'Neill, the school counselor at OLQA! I received my Masters in School Counseling (K-12) from SUNY Oneonta and I am also an OLQA alumni! My goal as a school counselor is to help all students reach their greatest possible success. I am available to students for individual or group school-based counseling for social-emotional and academic needs as well as pushing into classrooms for SEL lessons. 

I’m so excited to be a part of the OLQA community again and to help all of our students have an amazing school year!

Small-Group & Individual Counseling

Students can meet with me during lunch or at a scheduled time. All students are welcome, counseling can be in a small group or individually. 

SEL Push-in Lessons
Occasionally I will push into the classrooms to provide Social/Emotional lessons to our students. Some examples of what the lessons may touch on are as follows:

• managing emotions
• bullying prevention
• achieving personal and collective goals
• building strong positive friendships
• how to feel and show empathy for others 
• making caring and responsible decisions 
• developing a growth mindset
• celebrating cultural diversity
