Bienvenidos and Welcome:
My name is Elizabeth Archambault and I am the Spanish teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. I am so excited to be here at OLQA and have so many wonderful, amazing students.
Incorporated into the Spanish curriculum are the four major NYS Standards for LOTE. These are speaking, reading, writing, listening. Students from levels Pre-K to 8th grade are learning essentials for conversation, vocabulary, culture, listening, and writing skills while having fun in the language classroom.

Our Mission students 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will be learning to conjugate core verbs, SER, ESTAR, TENER, and many other verbs. We have been studying language structure and grammatical structure when writing, culture in Spanish speaking countries, conversation basics, and many Q & A sessions with the teacher and classmates as well. Mission students are learning Spanish while having technology as a tool in the classroom as well.
Pre-K to 5th grade - are learning conversation essentials, seasons, colors, numbers, listening to stories in the target language, culture in Spanish speaking countries, holidays, and much more.

While we are ending the first semester I am excited to bring students into the holiday season and learning about "Navidad" and "Las Posadas". Christmas in
Spanish speaking countries.

** Please note for Mission students 6th, 7th, and 8th grade I post my assignments on Google Classroom.
**Please contact me at  earchambault5585@olqany.org with any questions that you may have.

I look forward to being here at OLQA and having a wonderful, exciting, new school year.

Kind Regards,
Elizabeth Archambault - Spanish Teacher
