Happy October students and parents! This is going to be a great month.  We will be reading some fun stories in class with our reading program and hopefully finish our personal narratives. We are moving to chapter 2 in math- graphing and data, in Social Studies we are starting to learn about maps and geography, in Religion we will be working on chapter 3 and work on our Saint Project.  All writing will be done in school but children should be working on the creation of the saint at home.  Templates were sent home. Please be creative!!!

All children have been asked to bring in ear buds to use when we use the school i pads and chrome books.  The ear buds will be kept at school for the year and returned in June.

At the end of the month we will be celebrating Halloween with the school’s Halloween parade and a class movie.  Please remember that we are a peanut/tree nut free classroom.  No candy/food treat bags are allowed to be sent in for Halloween. (If a bag has any type of candy it will not be allowed to be passed out)

Full winter uniforms begin on the 15th.  Please make sure your son or daughter adheres to the dress code.  All shirts must be tucked in, belts worn, dress shoes worn, and only school sweaters may be worn. Please see the handbook for a full list of what is expected.  The weather is getting cooler and we will be outside at recess weather permitting.  Please send in a jacket or sweatshirt for your son or daughter to wear on chilly days. Please make sure to label all jackets and sweatshirts with your son or daughters name.

We will have snack everyday in class.  Please send in a healthy peanut/tree but free snack and extra drink for your son or daughter to enjoy.
